Residual Material Collection

In Notre-Dame-de-l’Île-Perrot, recycling is collected weekly, on Mondays between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. The wheeled bins must be placed at the curb by 7 a.m. on the morning of the collection.

Since the collection is automated, bins must be placed at the curb in a specific way. The most common problem encountered is incorrectly positioned bins. Bins must be positioned with the logo facing the street, no more than 1.5 m from the roadway and at least 60 cm away from surrounding objects or neighbouring bins. Note that recycling placed in a small 64-litre bin or beside a wheeled bin will not be collected. Large boxes must be cut into pieces and placed inside the bin. The lid of the bin must be kept closed.

Extra bins are available for $100 (tax included) at the Municipal Workshops during regular hours of operations.
